FAHE Consulting Secures $350,000 for Rental Housing in Distressed Counties
In December, Kentucky Housing Corporation announced funding approval for the 2009 Rental Funding Round. Nearly half of the 74 applications were funded, including Pin Oak, an affordable housing development that will build 38 rental homes in some of eastern Kentucky’s most distressed counties. Kentucky River Foothills Development Council has put into service Liberty Place Recovery Center for Women, with the help of FAHE Consulting. This unique center will provide support and hope for women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. The 100-bed residential substance abuse recovery center is centrally located on Lake Street in Richmond. Kentucky's First Lady, Jane Beshear, and Kentucky Housing Corp. hosted the official ribbon cutting ceremony at Liberty Place Recovery Center for Women in Richmond Kentucky on September 15th, 2008. Special guest speakers included FAHE Consulting's own Vonda Poynter, and WTVQ Channel 36 was there to cover the event.
